First Research team meeting

The first meeting of the Research team for the "Approaches to participatory governance of cultural institutions" project took place in Zagreb on 31/03/2016 and 01/04/2016. Director of the Kultura Nova Foundation Dea Vidović opened the meeting and introduced the project concept through four main activities and subactivities. The discussion that followed covered topics of decentralization of governance in culture, concept of participatory governance, societal changes and policy analysis, the aim of the research and the structure of the publication about participatory governance in culture.

On second day of the meeting, project consultant Nancy Duxbury held the presentation on cultural mapping with emphasis on online mapping and application of the participatory governance as an engine of cultural sustainability. After the presentation, the research team discussed the methodology and structure of online mapping within the project and the participation as a tool for achieving sustainability in cultural sector.
