Meeting with Association Alliance Operation City

Representatives of organizations gathered in the Alliance discussed future plans of Association Alliance Operation City about participatory governance of cultural resources in the city of Zagreb and the possibilities of financing such practices. „Kultura u centru – potpora razvoju javno-civilnog partnerstva u kulturi“ (Culture in the Centre - Support to the civil-public partnership development in culture) Open Call initiated by the Ministry of Culture supported by the European Social Fund was recognised as one of the most important financing sources. Preparation of the application for the aforementioned Call revealed lack of research data and/or policy documents addressing the civil-public partnerships, good governance eof public resources, participation in culture as well as participatory governance issues. In that sense Kultura Nova Foundation was pointed out as the institution which has conducted the research within the “Approaches to Participatory Governance of Cultural Institutions” project that will provide valuable data which will be used in the future. The Operation city members expressed the need that Kultura Nova Foundation continues in pursuing this topic in its further activities. The participants also discussed possible engagement of Kultura Nova Foundation in the next EU Funds programming period in the governance structure as the Intermediate body.
